Hello!

Julian Bashford is the Producer and Creator of a slate of TV shows and films in development, or in production, for children and family audiences. He is an aspie, a musician and music fan, an Apple geek, a proud Dad of two, husband of one (plus a dog called Winston!)

Julian Bashford spent 28 days in the communications industry, with 21 years as a founding director and CEO of Vocaity, an international manufacturer of satellite communications hardware and software, with specific focus on satellite news gathering, government and emergency blue light voice and radio services. Vocality was a designer of hardware and software solutions, with teams operating in Surrey UK, Washington DC and NSW Australia.

At Vocality, Julian commissioned and co-wrote a series of stop motion adverts, voiced by Ray Brooks. They consistently won advertising awards, including GOLD AND SILVER IVCA Winner (2014) & GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE Winners (2013) amongst others.

As a strong supporter of LEND WITH CARE , Julian commissioned and donated an advert, in stop motion, voiced by Joanna Lumley. The ad saw a 29% increase in lender activity to entrepreneurs in developing countries, and it is still played today, 8 years on, on Channel 5 and Sky.

  • GOLD EVCOM WINNER (Best Promotion and Sales)

  • GOLD EVCOM WINNER (Best Charity Film)

  • SILVER EVCOM WINNER (Best Campaign Effectiveness)

Julian left the world of international satellite communications and manufacturing and setup Visionality in 2017 to develop and create new children's TV IP, forming teams of writers, artist, directors and technical specialists to address each shows individuals demands. “I can very confidently say, in moving to children’s TV, I have found my tribe, and my very happy place! He is also now able to say he is autistic, or as his writer friend says, '“neuro-spicy”

He has established partnerships with several of the UK's finest production studios including Mackinnon and Saunders, Studio Liddell and more. With a series in production currently, further TV series in development and films being developed, and one pandemic (hopefully) out of the way, the journey has only just begun.
